This is where personal ideology and bias have totally corrupted the debate about "stimulus" - anything the poster likes to see money spent on is stimulus, and anything they dislike is pork, welfare, transfer payments, etc. Maybe we need to change the name of what we are doing then away from a "stimulus package". Clearly there is a difference between doing projects that create real jobs that create real things and handing money to people in the form of increased food stamps, unemployment benefits and the such. steve
