Not possible. Our local experts have determined he can't function in a townhall environment. They couldn't be wrong about that, could they?

I'm serious about him being too good. Honest, I think you could put him opposite Oprah on a daily basis and his share might win. They used to say McCain was the best in that format... never, ever seen anyone better than Obama. He is superb.

It's a little scary...

CJ, > Our local experts have determined he can't function in a townhall environment.

On the contrary, that's the only environment in which he can function. Just make sure the questions are screened to minimize any "gotcha" moments made for a YouTube age ...

Don't know if you've watched the town hall meetings but he's been terrific. Almost too good."

Part of Obama's success is he seems 'to feel' the mood of the audience. Yesterday when he was in Fort Myers, there was a woman in the audience....a secretary. She was well kept but you could tell she was down on her luck. She's was trying not to cry when she said to Obama, I've lost my house and my kids and I are living in our car. She said its not right for them have to use the bathrooms in the park. You could tell this woman was the real deal....and yet, he could have simply blown her off and told her to see his staff. Instead, he went up and kissed her on the cheek.......it was so right, so natural, so simple.......the audience was stunned at first and then buzzed because they were touched by the gesture. Obama really knows how to connect with people.
