It is related to the infringement of your right to yell fire in a crowded theater. You can be forced to carry insurance for your liability to others.

Explain how my failure to insure my health infringes your rights and I will reconsider.

We can be forced to buy auto insurance but buying health insurance conflicts with the goals of the founding fathers??? Give me a break...

Exactly. We are not at liberty to harm others. We are still free for the most part to make our own decisions where they affect only us. I, for one, would like to keep it that way.
