They objected to the politicization of the executive branch and the apparent and alleged political coordination between Rove and outside groups. Now that Barack Obama has cleaned out the White House, though, things like that will never, ever happen again. Right? ...

Looks like the wingnuts kept harping on it enough that they decided that whatever upsets them the most must be desirable.

Still, no chance of effective legislation being written.

Yes. And, at the time, it was true. But, with the media asking about it at every turn, prompted by the wingnuts spinning in place over it, they are warming up to the idea.
