Relativist? My comments are absolutist in nature. I was surprised by your sort of "all politicians and all proposals are equal" approach, just politicians getting their assumed due. Some policies are better than others. I know you agree with that. As for the Forest Service bit, I don't see the point specifically. If I did I might well agree. But my approach is that the overall package is needed. Soon. So I'm willing to live with the messiness of the democratic process. In that same vein, I don't think separating the package into its various components, while sensible from a good government point of view, would work.
