Historically folks flock to the US to do the backbreaking labor necessary in order to produce a better life for their family. Look at how well Hispanics have done for an example. Also folks with brains, ideas, etc want to come to a country thats free and where their talents and earnings can grow pretty much without limitations. Folks in india, china, korea are in fast growing states but safety, security and freedom arent always present. The US needs fixin and a wave of the latter immigrants like chicken soup couldnt hurt.
