I used to say that about liberals. I think both sides dont get the difference in era we are in compared to reagan. Supply side did work then and we got a 20 year run. There is nothing in reagan years and clinton years---after all clinton was the high point of supply-side/rubinomics. Problem is as it always is in capitalism, we get bubbles and busts. Tech mania was the first shoe to fall but structurally the dereg was overdone as was the desire to house everyone in their own homes. I remember saying then--whats wrong with renting? And then the guys who should have been engineers salivating at wall street money developed all these algorisms and the rest is history. None of it is innate to either dems or reps or supply or demand side.
In 1980 i declared the dems dead and reactionary as they did not understand that the problems then required non-keynsian solutions. Now i say repubs are reactionaries and more dead for supply siding a clearly demand side keynes situation.
