Has anyone here ever been on unemployment? Lets say someone loses a 100K job. $2k per week. unemp in NY is $425 i think. And its fully taxable.

Some liberals on this thread defended the fact that Europe had higher unemployment figures than America. Guess they're going to get their wish ...

Well their unemployment benefits are generally 50% to 70% of previous wages... in the US it's around 27% on average. I guess poverty is relative.


The only reason they can do that is because they don't start wars. If they were fierce, warring people like us, they too couldn't afford to help out their unemployed as much as they do.
