I'm not sure if IL is one of the states that jacks up health care insurance costs a lot, but it wouldn't surprise me if it is, esp. in light of your comments about such high insurance costs.

Their goals are making a profit for the shareholders, which doesn't exactly align with what I think the goals for healthcare should be.

The goal for farmers, and food processors, and restaurants, and grocery stores, isn't to feed you, but to make a profit. But Americans generally get fed rather well (to well in many cases)

Also we aren't really talking about health care (unless you want the government or non-profits to be the only health care providers), but health insurance.
