Michael, honestly I have no idea how to really stimulate the economy. We could shore up the securitization of banks' assets, provide relief for those who are going through foreclosure or have lost their jobs, and do public works projects that may help steer us away from an oil-dependent economy once we recover.

But none of that is really "stimulus." Instead, all of that is to help ease the pain of the economic contraction, which I believe is necessary for us to emerge stronger than before. As Mary Poppins once sang, "Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down ..."
