I don't think Gillespie or anyone else who is a Republican will even think of race as anymore than someone's skin color. It is the Dems who constantly bring it up..>!! Many of us had relatives who fought in the Union during the Civil War and have a constant reminder of why they fought. Maybe most of the Dems had relatives who were on the side of the South. Or maybe the Dems who bring it up are wanting more handouts.... I really hope that we don't get into a situation where criticisms of Obama's policies are routinely turned into prima facie evidence of racial animus, coded or uncoded
