If Obama had guts and leadership, he would halt the porkerbill, and just announce that all taxes including income taxes were eliminated for everyone who pays them for the whole year. Then John Q. Public could join the ranks of certain members of the Obama Cabinet as non-taxpayers.

surrounding the President, I'd say there is about a quarter of cup of guts and leadership for the entire group....and that would be a generous measure. LMAO! I agree. Having courage and leadership is doing the right thing no matter how unpopular with your political brethren. That's something that we've seen little of in Obamas administration. I still think that Obama and the dems are more interested in shoring up their power base for the next 8 years than rescuing the economy, as is apparent by the spending bill. just announce that all taxes including income taxes were eliminated for everyone who pays them for the whole year. There's plenty of simple things they could do by manipulating taxes. Problem is, it doesn't matter how much better cutting taxes works as opposed to spending,,,,,one of the reasons that dems hate that idea is that they NEVER actually have their hands on the money saved......to be diverted, allocated, misspent on something else....
