It is beginning to look like the worst possible case in Israel, Avignor Lieberman controls the balance of power. Then again, it might be good. The smooth-talking intellectual Labor governments have been the most effective at extending the Israeli empire. The trash-talking rednecks like Lieberman have usually struggled because their motives are so obvious. Israel's economic lifeline is European goodwill. Lieberman hurts that. On the other hand he might start WWIV, which would of course be bad ... Tom
