"Why I don't say anything is because I understand what he's trying to do......although I think its pretty hopeless." Hopeless it may be. But, people are noticing. He polls well for bipartisanship. The Republicans though, don't. So, if he can't actually get Republicans onboard, the next best thing is getting credit for trying. Which he is. The ball is now in the Republicans court. Either they start behaving like adults and join in to help, or they sulk in the corner and keep losing ground. Making up stuff about what is in the bill is not going to win them points.
