Inode, > If you're not seeing that Obama is trying his best to implement an extreme socialist agenda you aren't paying attention. And I cannot believe you actually SUPPORT it.

The only thing I support in this whole "stimulus" plan are the infrastructure improvements, specifically stuff that can potentially make our country less dependent on oil. Nothing wrong with that; Eisenhower built the interstate system, didn't he? How about expanding our rail network as well?

I also support stuff that helps ease the pain of this economic contraction. I've already said this in one of my posts to Michael.

As for Obama's "extreme socialist agenda," let's wait until people actually get the tax bill for all of this. Maybe then will this country finally see who the real political party of deficit spending is.

Come to think of it, that might be the "final shoe" to drop in this whole credit crunch, i.e. the massive debt that started growing again under Bush and is taking off to new levels under Obama. Once that drops and the real effects of socialism are felt, Newsweek might publish an issue with the headline, "We're all libertarians now."
