4. I live in the UK, I bought equal amounts of gold and silver when the GBP started to seriously tank in September 2008. In UK pounds my positions are up 40% since then.

I can't retire yet, don't have enough dough, but I am so glad I didn't rely on the treacherous UK fiat currency to preserve my wealth.

When you look at what else is happening, buying pm's makes sense. (imho).
