Sorry Coop, that didn't come out right...

I meant that the price of Zoran's stock tends to follow the hype of SoftDVD, as Intel and others promote it as a real solution for today.
I didn't mean to imply that Zoran itself was using SoftDVD directly to influence the price of their stock (but rereading it sure looks like I did).

It's my opinion that having Zoran's stock rise on the hype surround SoftDVD is bad for it's investors, particularly for those who jump on the bandwagon late. When reality sets in, the stock will have to come down to more realistic levels. (IMO: is below the current $20 price)That is not to say that Zoran can not sustain this price. I just don't think it's realistic to assume they can on SoftDVD alone. They need to get their chip into the market.

Look at Cube's history. As I said before, Cube's stock never should have been at $70 back when it was. That was hype by the media and others surrounding Digital Video and DVD at that time. Reality set in and the stock settled back to more realistic levels.

I say all this being a long term investor. I don trade day to day or month to month. I'm in for years at a time.

Your mileage may vary.
