Arnie, sorry to disagree with you. There are those of us who fo care what you think. When I relied on my own thinker (before SI) I was demented and poor. Post SI - still demented, but comfortably richer now. I do read genuineness pretty well, and your pegged as the genuine article- one factor why I'm here and in RII. I have a nice nicaruguan cigar for you as a Christmas present. Nxtl goes up you get it. Goes down, you don't hear from me. NXTl was a great lead, and its up to me to do my own research. I don't have time to do the screens and I've come to distrust investment letters, particulary CABOT - so I look for smart knowledgable and honest people who are just a little crazy about the prospects for their own picks. You qualify. Off Topic - Keystone has good skiing, new powder snow on packed machine snow, and guess what type of phone I saw one of the employees carrying!Hollered Bubba Bubba boo! during my entire first run.

Arnie:

You're absolutely right about people watching these posts. I personally know that some very educated investors watch daily in order to supplement their own ideas re: the common thread, NXTL. We and they hope that our bets are on the right horse. My accounting and business knowledge says we are right for the short term, one year or less.

Based upon my conversations with a client in this very business, and from my perspective, we are dealing with a business that is relying on old fashioned technology, push to talk communication, SMR. It's great now because it allows dispatch capibilites, the long term future is very doubtful to me. My argument, watch out for sat communication, global cellular that also can dispatch. Right now sat communication cannot compete because the radios would require large battery packs.

Summary: right now we are betting on NXTL, but I really don't think that the shares will hit anywhere near $ 100. Nextel will show positive cash flow in 1999? Where will we be in 1999? This years inventions are being knocked off in less than 4 months. Smart companies are figuring ways to knock off their own product before others do!!

Before I kid myself in looking for Nextel to be the real long term investment, two years, I, and all the rest of the lookie lou, and silent watchers of this area, would like to hear the tech people comment on my observations.

P.S. my client says analog is better than digital, digital just allows for more signal compression. Like Zip files are to computers.

Vote to keep me off this: I talk too much.
