Since I am trying to engage in constructive dialog here, and you are pursuing a line of inquiry that is quite new to me, I just wanted to be sure I was looking at the same thing that you are. Perhaps we interpret it differently. Perhaps we have different assessments as to its reliability. We seem to come from pretty different places. Maybe I'm right. Maybe you're right. Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle. Just possibly I can teach you something and you can teach me something. At least that's my general philosophy.

I don't "profess to being helpless" but I don't like reinventing wheels if someone else has a blueprint or an actual car. I do think it is always good to examine closely one's assumptions to be sure they are in accord with reality. I consider my Google skills adequate, but they too can stand improvement.

I readily admit my lack of certain skills to adequately test the global warming hypothesis. I believe it to be essentially true, but it's a complicated and important subject. I'm not 100% sure of anything, including whether I am now awake or dreaming. It's always a matter of probabilities, which is one of the reasons I enjoy the stock market.

Cheers,
Sam
