I think you are essentially right. But sector has a bad history. The question remains whether sector can hold it together. There is a general worry about slowing PC demand / lower Avg. Sell Price, that translates over to the DD's. Combine that with a widespread failure to adquately warn/execute (SEG both, Kmag execute, APM warn)... and you have general backing away.

All of that and more should have been deemed already built into the stock prices, but esp. in a gittery market re: techs, I guess that isn't how it works.

Expect WDC e.g. to quickly recover to high 30s, move more slowly from there. A lot will depend upon the soft noises coming out about 4th quarter demand as we progress...
