Hey Wayne... I'm sure all that is public information.

(Not that I dispute your recollections of 'which Party was in the majority' at one time or another... but there is NO particular need for us to start a discussion about 'your memories', CAUSE I'M SURE the ACTUAL DATA is public and probably pretty easy to look up. :-)

(You could try Google or Wiki, say... likely someone out there has ALREADY complied the numbers.)

Or, you could just turn to the exact same links that I posted (several times) --- links to the United States Budget for fiscal year 2009 (info in the appendix)... or else any encyclopedia you prefer (I used Wiki, but a lot of em are on line now!)

Then, with the numbers in hand for the last 50 years (or whatever period you like... I posted the Prez's for 50 years though, and the deficits for 50 years), if you have some sort of explanation to put forward for 'why federal deficits go up or down', based on your statistical analysis... then we can discuss it!
