I'm not sure of that. I'm not in the camp that believes that nothing should be done. It seems most Republicans believe that nothing should be done, or if anything at all should be done, the only thing that fits would be tax cuts.

The only tax cuts I'd be in favor of would be tax cuts for businesses, because that will mean a kickstart to the virtuous cycle of business investment. I'm NOT for consumer tax cuts, because the American taxpayer has proven that all they do is spend beyond their means on foreign goods, which is not something that will sustainably help our economy.

As such, besides business tax cuts, I'd also like to see investment in things that will have a return on investment. I don't want spending for spending sake. Things with an ROI to me would include investments in expanding the renewable energy industry (including nuclear) to diversify our energy sources, investments in a new digital energy grid, investments in education, science, and technology R&D, investments in energy efficiency for government buildings and auto fleets. Anything that smacks of throwing cash out of helicopters should not be spent.
