"Lots of research toward (non-nuclear) alternative energy as well."

Like ethanol from corn?

Now, personally, I would have liked to've seen some money for high temp. reactors. But, the industry claims they have that covered. It is more of development than research any way. We just need to build the damn things.

I hope some of the money goes to characterizing Polywell.

Obama said that nuclear ought to be part of the mix, but apparently it's not part of THIS mix.

There are a number of things Obama wanted that he didn't get. Its called compromise.
