I just sent for this Free Cookbook even though I know it probably contains some recipes that won't fit.

Whenever you see low HDL with "normal range" LDL, with a positive calcium score, you can count on your LDL being high in small dense LDL.

Yes, the positive calcium score is a variable I did not take into account.

But let's look at it from static and dynamic POV. First static:

From your posts, I know you have had high calcium score, high triglycerides (149), normal HDL (remember, females naturally have higher HDL than males). High Trigs indicate inflammation, and therefore high small LDL and build up of plaque.

Then dynamically, your Trigs went down, therefore your inflammation went down, and your calcium score improved. I think the implication of that is that your LDL particles have changed and may not be cause of a problem now (on your new diet) compared to what they were before ou went on your diet.

It looks to me that you LDL particle count went down significantly and the particle size went up moderately.

They consider the hours they spend in the Cath lab to be golden. They are so wrapped up in their technical procedures that they really have no interest in you until you have an event.

Yup, that's where the money is. And that's when the patient is a very "motivated" buyer...

As far as treating my thyroid, "forgeddaboutit!"

You may want to try to get out of them some testing before you work on trying to get a prescription out of them. I would ask for the other Ts in addition of TSH, to know where you are.

I have an idea on why doctors put people on drugs they don't
need. It's $$. Take this and come back every 3 months. Rake in the bucks that way.
