My internist increased my crestor to 40mg because of the rise in my triglycerides from 86 to 131 and LDL from 88 to 95.

Wonder what is causing this increase? Could it have been affected by holiday carbs as I took the tests on Jan 19th and gained about 7 lbs over the holiday to 225?

That's probably the reason. Triglycerides can rise and fall fairly rapidly as result of changes in diet.
