Thanks, I'm definitely going to watch it all when i get a chance, but for now I just saw the clip bruiser98 posted ... and even that was pretty damn positive, imo.

I agree with Gates on the race part, maybe not so much on the habeus corpus thing ... he was scared shitless at the time, and thought he had the duty to do whatever it took to preserve the union/uphold the constitution (or so I vaguely recall from Vidal's "Lincoln" -g)
