MP,

I am regretting not being on a lease actually. I purchased my first business car in 2005 (I have purchased all my personal sports cars). Due to insurance issues my company stopped provided the paid-for lease car. I'm regretting it, for the remaining value I'll have is nothing near what I expected. Over the past four years, leasing a SUV was certainly the way to go.

Of course I was given a monthly by the company, but after tax and now after the serious decline in what I expected the value to be at 60,000 miles, I've realized I played that one wrong.

I think if you have a very low expectation of the value after five years, then buying is a good path.
