" Mesa, now has nearly half a million residents, more than Pittsburgh, Cleveland, or Miami."

As mentioned I'm currently in a place called Apache Junction. Across the street is Mesa. Mesa is thirty plus miles from Phoenix but it's wall to wall subdivisions and strip malls all the way to the city.

When you drive around and see it you wonder "What were they thinking?" Whole strips are empty and I'm sure with many more to come. The thing I can't stop thinking about is all the resources we have squandered on this insane binge. We are so wasteful in our pursuit of what? In this respect, the rest of the world has a right to disparage us.

Sly, you catch any of the currency move. Looking pretty grim out there across the pond, but the worst yet to come?
