Weird quote for SUNW on Datek...

On my datek quotes screen I have the following entry for SUNW:

Symbol Bid Ask Last Chg High Low
SUNW 37 13/16 37 15/16 37 15/16 +1 3/16 47 15/16 36 5/8

I wish it was true, but I can't see SUNW having been up to
47 15/16 today...
Is it Nasdaq, Datek or SUNW that's going crazy or do I need
some days away from this mayhem?

Ren

Dear xu: That was an EXCELLENT article, first sensible thing I have read about all of this. Hope Gates reads its. Maybe there is a win win settlement in here somewhere. JDN

Excellent post! However, my gut feeling is that the Justice Department will prevail. The Compaq documents indicate Microsoft abused its power by forcing Compaq to offer Explorer. The arguement that Explorer is an integral part of Windows doesn't hold water. If it chose, Microsoft could claim the same for Excel or Word.

The benefit of the Justice Dept action is time. This action gives heart to developers who were pessimistic about any success against Microsoft. It will limit Microsoft ability to deal a killer blow to Java or Netscape and buy time for a true cross platform Java to become the industry standard, if that is what the market desires.
