Dennis - it's because it's 48 hours where anything in the world (literally) can happen that may have an impact on the market...lets say we decide to go to war on Sunday AM, traders don't want anything on the table when they can't trade.

Dennis, on a weekday, when the market closes, there are 17 hours to worry about before the market opens again.

On a weekend, there are 65.

There is 3.82 times the worrying potential in a weekend. :)
