Obama Disses Brits, Will Media Miss?
By Warner Todd Huston | February 15, 2009 - 09:51

Barack Obama loves Lincoln. It seems not a day goes by that he isn't quoting the Civil War icon or comparing himself to that great man. But it looks like we are finding one great leader that Barack Obama doesn't like so much: Winston Churchill.

It appears that President Obama is dissing the Brit's most famous and stalwart leader by quickly returning the most famous bust of the man loaned to this country by the United Kingdom in the aftermath of 9//11. The return of the bust of Churchill flustered the British government because they didn't ask for it to be returned. Our best ally was nonplussed and even quickly told Obama he could keep it in the Oval Office where Bush had displayed the piece of art. Obama told them no thanks which made the Brits even more amazed.

So, Barack Obama, the man that would "fix" our "bad image" with the rest of the world, we were told by the media, has just dissed Churchill after only a month in office? And, according to one of the only stories I can find on this incident, the British government has been made nervous about the relationship between England and the U.S. because of the casual return of their generously loaned Churchill bust.

I mean, this abrupt return of the Churchill statue is sort of odd. Would it have hurt anything to keep the thing? After all, it made the Brits feel good and American's have a connection to Churchill, too (besides WWII). His mother was from our shores after all.

Whatever the case may be, the bust now sits in the home of the British ambassador in Washington D.C.

Now I wonder if anyone in the U.S. media will bother to report on an incident that that has caused diplomatic consternation, an incident perpetrated by the Obammessiah himself.

Again... wasn't Obama the one that was going to make every ally ecstatically happy?

Being is basic to existence. A human being exists as soon as it is identifiable as a being individually and completely human. There has been lots of quibbling about when an individual human being is complete, or complete enough to be considered to have rights. Human rights are not variable, as in greater for one than for another. There have been attempts throughout history to qualify one over another but all have failed the test of time. Children are human beings.

The human rights of one cannot be violated for the rights of another according to the basic premise in our rule of law. A person is something/someone which may be considered in relationship to others and with respect to human beings. Personhood also develops relative to itself and others over time as in personal or personality.

Life is the purest form of energy, physically undetectable in its finest form, neither created nor destroyed. The essence of life persists in eternity, as the states of temporal existence transform in their ever-illusive comings and goings...and beings.

What will you really have when everything is said and done? You will have to live with every thing you've said and done, or not said and done...for eternity.

say you have a parent and a 5 year old child and the 5 year old child needs a bone marrow transplant and the parent refuses to give it (dead beat dad or whatever) and the child dies. Are you aware of the fact that due to the basic human rights we live by in the USA that there will be no punishment for that parent whatsoever

I'm not really surprised. Lots of people think its perfectly moral to kill unborn children ... even just born children who survive an abortion .... and apparently abuse unborn children with drug and alcohol. Aren't you one of those btw?
