There are in real life, more potential sources than a parent. But you're asking if there were a case of only one parental donor and the donation could be done with no harm to the parental donor, would I consider punishing the parent legally? Maybe. I sure wouldn't rule it out. I'd be willing to let legislatures hash it out.

But the point I'm getting at is, from the standpoint of abortion or "choice" supporters like yourself, wouldn't you agree:

- a parent who refused a donation and damned his or her child to death, or

- a parent who harms her child by alcohol and drug use during pregnacy

is perfectly okay both morally and legally. After all, its the parents body, isn't it, and the child has no right to life?
