Deficit spending is any spending the feds do these days. It will create jobs and offset the huge loss of jobs occurring at the present time.

The legislation that just passed is not going to create many jobs; certainly not for the first year or two. How many jobs does it create to build a (pork) rail line from LA to Vegas?

The workers needed for the construction alone would be significant....laying track over 250 miles. Then there is the manufacture of the rails, the locomotives, the cars and the electronic equipment and computers to run the system. Finally, there will be the service jobs once the train is up and running. I would say the potential for significant employment gains is great.

It is definitely not pork.
