As more people become unemployed, they will have the time to protest.

This cycle will come full circle as the numbers of unemployed grow larger. More and more, educated, informed people will rally together or sink together.

When people have nothing to lose they tend to act more boldly.

I can't argue with any of that.

And, I think Pat makes a good point that when more people have too much time on their hands the natives will start to get restless.
