MP,

I recently read a counter argument to that very 12 point list, and when I finished, I was still planning to keep my gold. I'll try and get permission to post the response or to paraphrase. I'm keeping my gold.

Point 11 is reason enough for me to completely disregard Louis's advice.

Also, I wouldn't listen to anyone that always recommended a position in gold. A terrible position for 20 of the past 28 years.

IMO, gold is near an impulse move of at least 10-15%.

Lots of goldbugs and bulls get bucked off before the real move.

playing russian roulette with an automatic pistol would also be 'decidedly contrarian'

He says: "And before you brandish me a fool . . ."

I have never brandished anyone a fool. I may brandish a sword; I may brandish a knife; I might even brandish a torch or a club. But I do not brandish fools gladly.

(Incidentally, I never though about it, but the word probably comes from Anglo-Saxon "brand" which means "sword." Tennyson liked to stick the word in his pseudo-archaic poetry.)

Whenever i hear some Big Boast like this, given the hard fact that one must NEVER trust any stock advisor until you have thoroughly vetted his actual record.
This statement could be just BS, maybe it is not, but in the financial world you MUST presume what is stated is BS until proven otherwise.
Anyone that invests on "Innocent until proven Guilty" on advisors hustling, is indeed playing Russian Roulette with their money.
Especially when they shout out like this <<But for those of you with an open mind - especially after my last three contrarian predictions proved dead accurate, read on.>>

MP,

Sorry, I forgot to send you this bit of information. I do not know if you have a family connection to get the X plan (or better, A plan), but we have a backdoor for X that all can use.

I have not verified this, but if I get an 2010 Mustang for kicks, I'll try it out.

Here is the link to get the PDF file from Ford. X-plan is 4% above employee pricing. File is liked at the bottom of the first post on page one.

Ford Stock Ownership X-Plan PIN request form. Will work for 2010 Mustang!!
I didn't think my reply would generate that much interest, but it has. So I figured I would start a new thread, with a link to the pdf file that includes the form needed to get your very own X-Plan PIN number, and directions on how to do it. Now, keep in mind, this form works when you own the stock.

What you gotta do, is just open an account at any online stock site (Ameritrade, etc), and purchase a few shares (there is NO MINIMUM according to Ford), wait a few days for the transaction to go through. Once you own the stock, print out an account summary, showing that you own the stock. You fax it in, with the form I have provided below, following the instuctions on the 1st page of the link, and in as few as a few hours to a few days, you will have your own PIN number good for 1 year.

Keep in mind, the owner of the stock is the only one that can get the PIN. You can't put the car in someone else's name. I hope this helps some people save some $$$ on the 2010 Mustang (or any other Ford product for that matter). Glad to help everyone. Any questions, let me know.
