Yes, idiot.

The government can afford it.

Stupid assed people.

How big is your house? I replaced my AC unit a couple of years ago for $4K and my heat unit for $2,500. Roof cost me $3800.

My current house is 5K feet^2. We have three units...the main floor has a 5ton unit...that alone nearly cost $10K. The roof I replaced on the house in RTP cost $8K for 40year dimensional shingle...that house was 3.2Kfeet^2. You are getting some very good prices in Albany? Was the AC also a heat pump? Not likely in upstate NY, right? You probably heat with oil or gas there? Yes?

The average person doesn't make enough money to afford to invest in that. Now, if the government would finance it, that's another matter.

That's my point. Any incentives that accelerate the process of economy of scale would be very beneficial. Two years ago you could not buy a PV Watt for any less than $10...now it's down to $6 and I have even seen $4...that's the trend that will make adoption wider. There is nearly limitless clean energy in solar.
