The roof I replaced on the house in RTP cost $8K for 40year dimensional shingle...that house was 3.2Kfeet^2. You are getting some very good prices in Albany? Was the AC also a heat pump? Not likely in upstate NY, right? You probably heat with oil or gas there? Yes? Well, I'm not in Albany anymore, but I was when I owned the house. My house was only 1750 ft^2. I heated with gas. But the thing is, that most people un the U.S. have homes the size of my old one or smaller, and don't make much more than $50K a year, so they can't afford something like that. -Z
