We prop up the Saudis and the King of Jordan and a host of other de facto dictators. That is a fact. To deny it shows your ignorance. I didn't deny this, I denied we were propping up dictators in AFghanistand and Iraq. Do you really think we should destablilize SA and Jordan? You'd like to see a few more civil wars in the ME? ---------- Who is AQ? They were founded in part by Osama Bin Laden, a Saudi close to the royal family. Yes, he's close but not in the way you think. He wants to put people like himself in charge i/o the ones running SA now, who are far too friendly to the west for him. Destablilizing SA as you would prefer would be playing into OBL's hands. --------- You think oil has nothing to do with it? YOu are so incredibly naive and simplistic. Oil and money has everything to do with it. I think Islamic extremism is the root of the problem.
