You say they will fail. I say let the market decide. I think you are more for forcing the market to go the way you think is the only way to succeed which is nuclear power plants, hydrogen cars or algae-based biodiesel. I say let the government provide the incentives to get off oil and coal and let the market decide which solution will win.

Right now the market is very clearly choosing electric vehicles powered by lithium batteries, as evidenced by the tens of billions being spent on new lithium car-battery manufacturing capacity, and the billions being spend on lithium power-train and car-battery R&D and new businesses.

I'm sorry that disappoints you, but the market will decide whether these ideas will work or not. If algae is more profitable, then it will win.
