I don't really like putting more money in consumer hands, because all Americans do with it is either buy Chinese goods with it or do nothing with it. Holy cow. Gee, better tax their money away and let the wise folks in Congress spend it for us. How mindless is the idea government knows better than individuals how to spend their money? I guess the past failures of government run economic systems is just that they didn't have the right brilliant Harvard educated politicians making the decisions. Tax breaks for businesses are far more effective Well then, give the employer's a payroll tax holiday. Again, let people not in DC decide how to spend the money.
