THAT statement is just as full of BS as if I came back and said that "History has shown that organized religion usually causes massive wars and devastation and totalitarian rule...." History can show examples for both propositions (but a Hell of a lot MORE for "religions cause wars" then that "science harms people", for science as improved peoples lives, and increases total knowledge for all mankind, more then any other single factor that I can imagine.....) But it's ridiculous to make either statement saying that "science" or "religion" are "usually abused".
