market totally killed me today, almost every thing i owned down 10% or more. Obviously market thinks that "my" companies will not survived...

Dale, One could convincingly argue the key factor in this environment (recession with ever increasing chance of depression) is capital preservation. Do you agree that the challenge/(opposing view) with your statement of "worth something on the other side" and "eventually it will change" - is the timing of the sea change of momentum everyone is waiting for. I make these statements with the hindsight of not having hard stops in place on my positions that are now 60%+ underwater. - Luckily I'm 90%+ cash now.
