Interesting point.

From what had happened in Mexico, export thrive when the peso
was devalued. We have a similar situation in the Far East. If I was
Intel, I'd put my fab in South East Asia and capitalize on cheap labor.

The asians realize now that they have cheaper labor. If they
cancel fab installation/expansion, they they have given up and taken
the lost. If I was them, I'd accelerate fab construction to take
advantage of this currency issue. The chips they will produce will put
the chips produce in USA in a big pricing disadvantage.

I agree that the capital will be tight, but I believe the fabs
will be put up as scheduled or even accelerated.
