You, on the other hand, are off the wall ideological. There is no doubt that compared to several on this subject you are not a leftwingnut, but compared to the center of the American opinions you are. You may consider yourself to be pragmatic about your extremism, but it is not a perception that others of a moderate ilk have of you. Would you be happy if the Obama stimulus package revived the US economy? Would I be happy if socialism created the temporary false impression of recovery? I am intelligent enough to recognise that socialism can never work. The economy will recover, but Porkulus will hinder the recovery. We tried the same failed spending increases that is Porkulus during the Bush Presidency. It didn't prevent an economic implosion. Why would anyone be so foolish to think that bigger government could ever help the economy? Bigger government is the enemy of a healthy economy. Virtually everyone acknowledges that Porkulus was a power grab to reward democrats and the lazy for voting for Obama. Don't tell me you are unwilling to acknowledge what even his Chief of Staff stated it was.
