No doubt, they will help protect the poppy farmers incomes? After all everyone knows the poppy isn't the opiate of the people?<g> I can imagine the US legalizing the marijuana industry in America so it can tax the hell out of it's production? God knows this country could use some anxiety medication right about now, given the current decay of societies economy, institutions and infrastructure etc.? This county has been on a drunken binge of economic/political madness and it is obvious that intervention isn't the answer to systemic moral hazards, that many of the current laws and regulations help encourage misconduct? .....it's time to mellow out, tune in and think about solutions not the glorification of insurmountable problems.(Not just their creation) If it was easy, it wouldn't be a challenge?<g> Why is creating a stable economic foundation that encourages commerce so difficult? Many people and institutions aren't doing their jobs? Time to bailout the moral decay and do what's right, not just fair? I don't need unjust, ineffective, often unenforced laws to do what is right , unless I'm just looking for a legal instrument to steal? Am I not my brothers keeper?
