why did they leave... because they knew they couldn't win the war. it would go on for decades.... uncle you are sensitive this morning. we are in the same situation. we have minimal forces in a huge country that outside few major cities will not change. i have no idea what our troops with very small numbers can accomplish. they do not have the support of washington democrat politics. How many taliban are there in those countries , how many Al Q. in those countries.. we go in and bomb a house and kill a dozen? great read but i doubt it has any major affect on these orgaizations.
