You do know that, don't you? "Roosevelt's policies, reinforced by increasingly anti-private-property rhetoric from him and his advisers during the 1930s, ensured that the depression lasted far longer than it would otherwise have lasted." Wingnut rhetoric. The US, despite taking a huge hit from the Crash, started recovery and did better than almost every other country at the time. The ones who did the worse, like Canada and Australia, were the ones who didn't implement any policies similar to the New Deal.
