Being a mouthpiece for the right (to the extent that they are, which I think your exaggerate), is not the same as being a mouthpiece for bigger government, let alone the actual cause of bigger government, or a force that would have even a slim chance of stopping the growth of government.

Of course its not all the WSJ fault - but they contribute to the problem by being the mouth piece of the right.

I have been reading the WSJ since I was a child. The OpEd page is center right and news reporting tends to be center left.

Some of the editors tend to be more authoritarian than libertarian, but even then, they are not that far from American mainstream, which IMHO tends to be more authoritarian.
