President Bush flew on Air Force One about 200 times a year, which averages to about four times a week. That's a lot.

Well, times were different then. The President needs to set an example, and I am not liking the example he is setting.

Besides, is he really getting out there to learn what is going on in the hinterlands? Seems to me he's spending his time at stage managed campaign style events where the attendees are hand picked.

I know Bush used Air Force One a lot. I don't make any exceptions for his excessive use of the airplane, any more than I do for Obama. IMHO most of these trips are very unnecessary. In these times of fiscal concern, they should be looked at with a great deal more questions about the "need to go".
