It may become that but it is nowhere near it at this point. And yes, recessions and depressions are "normal" in every sense of the word "normal". As surely as we have earthquakes, volcanos, tsunamis and hurricanes, we will have recessions and depressions from time to time. And like those natural disasters there is little or nothing that can be done to stop them. You may be able to improve the situation on margins (much as you can evacuate areas of a hurricane before the fact). But you can't stop it. And they aren't "caused" by something someone did. What did anyone do that caused the Great Depression?
